What’s Closing? And Who’s Moving?

Our affiliate, Macomb County Habitat for Humanity, is not closing!

While Habitat for Humanity Detroit, our neighboring affiliate and friend, has closed their stores until they reopen at some point in the future, we still have two viable stores.

But…one of our stores will be relocating so that we can move to a new store in Shelby Township.

In mid-February, our Mount Clemens store on Groesbeck will close for the move.  There will be massive sales before those doors are shut forever.  The last few weeks of sales you will see reductions up to 90% off the original pricing (which was already low)!

By mid-March, the new store located at 21 Mile and Van Dyke in Shelby Township will open.  This site was selected because it was located in a donor-centric area where customers can see the benefits of higher quality donations at very reduced costs.  Our second store, located at 9 Mile and Van Dyke in Warren will continue operating as is!

So, let’s recap.

While all affiliates have the same logo and the same mission, we each have a different 501(c)(3) and our own Board of Directors, leadership team, and staff.  Our affiliate is moving one of our stores from Mt. Clemens to Shelby Township.  No staff are laid off and we expect to have a record year.

That said, let’s all say a prayer for our neighbors in Detroit.
