A Step by Step Guide |

To
qualify for
a
Macomb Habitat house
you must meet
4 basic qualifications:
|
1) Need For Adequate Shelter |

Substandard Housing –
Your current home
is substandard. It is dangerous or unhealthy due to plumbing, electrical,
structural, or other significant physical problems.

Safety Issues –
There are unsafe conditions
in your home or neighborhood that cannot be resolved.

Temporary
Housing –
You are living in transitional housing, or
your home is being condemned.

Excessive
Cost of Housing –
You are paying more than 35% of your monthly income for housing.

Willingness to Partner
1. Timely completion and return of application
2. Acceptance & compliance of sweat equity requirements
Each adult family member is required
to log 250 sweat equity hours with Macomb Habitat.
This may include office work, helping with Habitat functions, or on-site
building.
4)
Residency
Applicants must be residents of Macomb County for at least six (6)
months.
