Meeting the Family Selection Criteria enables you to submit an application to our program and in no way ensures your acceptance into our program.


  1. Ability to Pay – legal verifiable income that falls within income range (see chart below).
  2. Need – proof of living in some type of substandard housing (see housing need assessment form enclosed in the homeowner application).
  3. Willingness to Partner – each adult in the home must complete a minimum of 250 volunteer hours, and save a $1,000 down payment over the course of the homeowner program.
  4. We are now offering only “low interest” mortgages and a credit score of 600 or higher is now required to qualify for application. A credit score of 640 or higher will be required to close on a home. Not sure what your credit score is? Check it on Credit Karma for free!
